Ez van.../...and that is that

Van az, amikor a design viszi el a hátán a terméket. Ez a zeneiparban főként így van, a hihetetlen túlkínálat miatt. Filmesek, grafikusok csapatostul dolgoznak a marketingesek keze alá./Sometimes (mainly) good design sells the products. Especially in music industry that has inordinate supply. Lots of filmmakers, graphic designers work hard under marketing supervising.

The Klingspor Museum Offenbach, and its association of friends is going to put up a second exhibition TYPE IN GOOD SHAPE / SCHRIFT IN FORM (7.-19.9.2010), in combination with a symposium are related to the issue of GUSTO, especially dealing with the matters of eating and drinking.

The symposium is going to take place on Saturday the 18th of Sept. providing with speeches in the morning and afternoon. On Sunday the museum’s collection is open to present their type specimens.

I'm proud to inform you that Tanja Huckenbeck and Peter Reichard (TYPOSITION, Offenbach am Main) was invited me (among others: Stefan Hattenbach, Tomi Haaparanta, Jos Buivenga, Rob Keller, Eben Sorkin, Giangiorgio Fuga, Andreu Balius, Nikola Djurek, Trine Rask, Laura Meseguer, René Verkaart, Jean-Baptiste Levée, Mario Feliciano, Panos Vassiliou, Mathieu Réguer, Gabriel Martinez Meave, Morten Rostgard Olsen, František Štorm, Jo De Baerdemaeker, David Březina, Titus Nemeth, Jonathan Perez, Dan Rhatigan, Tarek Atrissi Design, Moshik Nadav, Michael Hochleitner, Hannes von Döhren, Yvonne Schüttler, Andre Baldinger, Francois Rappo, Hubert Jocham, Frank Grieshammer, Luc de Grot, Jan Fromm, Daniel Perraudin, Dirk Uhlenbrock, Sascha Timplan) to send my favourite recipe, designed with one of my typefaces.

The recipe on the one hand, the alphabet/character set of my typeface on the other hand [a DIN A1 (594 x 841 mm) poster and in size A5 (148 x 210 mm) for the exhibition guide/catalogue].

… simply means someone is out there designing it. This is a collection of typeface specimens from designers around the world. Shown here are new artworks created especially for the Bangkok International Typographic Symposium 30-31 October 2010 combined with work from the 2008 major type design exhibition “Schrift in Form” at Klingspor Museum Offenbach, Germany.
